Our mum was 43 years old when she passed, she was the best mum anyone could have asked for. She was
married to my dad for 15 years but they seperated many years ago. She then met Dave who she was with
untill her passing.
She only had two kids myself and my brother but she was like a mum to many of our mates too.. When
she passed she not only left us two kids behind but also two older sisters, many neices and nephews
and friends and also two beautiful granddaughters aswell who she loved dearly, Laney who is 3 and
Macey who is now 6 months.. I suppose we are thankful that she was here to see Macey and spend what
little time she did have with her..
Our mum never complained about being ill and was not ill, although people kept telling her she
looked ill, she always said she felt fine and carried on with life as normal.. In July of this year
our mum was taken into hospital at King Georges after collapsing at home.. The next day she was
taken to The Royal Free Hospital where she spent nearly a fortnight in intensive care..Many of the
doctors didn't think she would come out of there alive... but she did and started to make a
recovery.. Once out of intensive care she continued to get better but then out of the blue started
to get worse again.. Towards the end the best way to describe it is "It weren't our mum, or the mum
who we knew who her to be".... She was put on the waiting list for a liver transplant and started to
undergo various tests to prepare for the operation which sadly never happened as on the 7th
Spetember 2008 at 2:45am our mum passed away in the Kings College Hospital where she was transferred
to for more tests....

Our mum as we said was the best, she was loved by everyone and if she could would help anyone.. if
it was to an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, somewhere to stay or just someone to be there for
no matter what time she was there...

We miss our mum and not a day goes by when we don't think about her... She was our mum and we loved
her more then words can say and we miss her like mad.. The saying goes "You can't choose your family
but you can choose ur friends" well we're glad that we was given her as our mum...

Below is a poem that was read out during my mums service...

The Lord saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be,
So he put his arm around you and whispered come with me,
With teary eyes we watched you suffer, and saw you fade away.
Although we loved you dearly we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, a beautiful smile at rest,
God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best.
It's lonesome here without you we miss you so each day,
Our lives are not the same since you went away,
When days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong,
We seem to hear you whisper cheer up and carry on.
Each time we see your picture you seem to smile and say "Don't cry I'm in Gods keeping we'll meet
again someday"

A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...

One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side

Now, you who deeply
feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by
God's own loving care.

So many things have happened,
Since you were called away,
So many things to share with you,
Had you been left to stay,
Every day in some small way,
Memories of you come our way,
Though absent, you are ever near,
Still missed, loved, and always dear.

Deepest sympathy to your family. Rest in peace.
